      In January 2013, Centro Retail Australia officially rebranded as Federation Centres.

      The name change marked an important step in the transformation of the business and better reflects how the company will operate, “respecting the individuality of its parts but strengthened by being part of the wider group”.

      At the heart of their success is the delivery of the Federation Centres brand promise — Love our local shopping.

      Brand Toolbox was utilised to oversee this brand promise by providing an online repository for Federation Centres’s new brand guidelines information. The Federation Centres Brand Hub houses their brand standards, policies, templates, brandmark artwork and other related files, including brand videos.

      1. control access to internal and external user groups (eg third parties)
      2. protect Federation Centres’s intellectual property through user acceptance of terms and conditions prior to entry
      3. create a database of users that can be promptly notified of changes, additions or deletions to brand related materials
      4. allow the flexibility of an accreditation process for third parties
      5. limit access or privileges for certain users or set access to expire within a certain timeframe.

      syn-rg worked closely with the Federation Centres brand team and we restyled the Brand Toolbox interface to adhere to the new vibrant and colourful livery.

      The solution utilises some of the latest features of the Brand Toolbox brand asset management solution:

      1. the new Newsletter web analytics module (allows tracking of bounces, opens, message fails and click-through rates)
      2. the new Image and Document library modules (track all downloads and notifies users whenever a document version is updated).

      Australia Post

      Australia’s most helpful brand, Australia Post, rebrands and once again chooses the Brand Toolbox asset management solution to align brand values and strategy across all communications.

      syn-rg worked closely with Interbrand Australia, who designed the new brand livery, to restyle Brand Toolbox and provide a valuable communications channel for employees and third party suppliers.

      Australia Post has now utilised Brand Toolbox for nearly nine years and relies on the security, speed and “brand understanding” inherent in the solution. Since syn-rg implemented Australia Post’s online brand guidelines in early 2005, the site has grown from a simple 30 page online style guide to a 400 page, content rich, brand management and education resource. It is all-encompassing, housing brandmarks, stationery, publications, imagery, illustrations, documents, online, retail, product and advertising style guidelines content. It redefines how brand custodians, design professionals and marketing departments access and professionally distribute their corporate brand assets.

      syn-rg were commissioned to redevelop the new Brand Hub and include a Content Management System (CMS) that would cope with the growing website. We conducted a series of “Usability Workshops”, which highlighted inefficiencies with wayfinding and a need for improved document retrieval. We also responded to further client requests by improving searchability and scalability.

      The new ‘Brand Hub’ uses a familiar and intuitive navigation system, allowing members to access pages quickly and track their location easily. Advanced search functionality allows instant retrieval of deeply embedded information, including pages, documents and images within the CMS.

      The system allows you to manage your photo and document libraries, enabling you to browse 1000's of images via the powerful 'imagery keyword search engine'. Click image thumbnails for detailed usage information, download and order images for ongoing marketing campaigns.

      All members are notified by email every time a new logo or guideline section is added, providing up-to-date ‘policing’ of the brand, via the ‘Brand Update’ email newsletter. And, with instant access to the profiles of all members using the site, tracking the supplier database is simple.

      With full integration and behavioural tracking using Google Analytics, you can view detailed web statistics and measure at a glance which sections of the website are being visited regularly, and those that are not, helping the client manage content more economically.

      Australia Post's online brand management solution is a forerunner in the brand marketplace and built off the back of syn-rg’s Brand Toolbox®. The solution manages all elements of its brand, consistently and cost-effectively and is available 24/7, from any computer, on any network, so there can no longer be any excuse for using an incorrect file version.

      Amcor

      Online brand guidelines, brand asset management (BAM) solution and (CMS).

      Since the launch of the new Amcor brand in 2009, there had not been a central online location for co-workers and authorised external third parties (eg suppliers) to access the Brand Guidelines, artwork and other key brand related materials. As a result, out-of-date materials were being used across the business and differing or incomplete Guidelines existed.

      syn-rg was approached by Amcor to scope the online brand asset management solution so all global partners could access the guidelines information and communications material.

      Amcor Brand Central provides a central repository for Amcor’s Brand Standards, Policy, templates, brandmark artwork, approved corporate images and other related files.

      The solution includes a registration process prior to accessing the materials and is designed to:

      1. control access to internal and external user groups (eg third parties)
      2. protect Amcor’s intellectual property through user acceptance of terms and conditions prior to entry
      3. create a database of users that can be promptly notified of changes, additions or deletions to brand related materials
      4. allow the flexibility of an accreditation process for third parties

      syn-rg worked closely with the Amcor brand team, who redesigned the Brand Toolbox interface to adhere to Amcor best practice and functionality requirements. syn-rg then applied the designs to the user interface graphics, colours and text.

      The result is one of our most striking and customised solutions to date.
