Since the launch of the new Amcor brand in 2009, there had not been a central online location for co-workers and authorised external third parties (eg suppliers) to access the Brand Guidelines, artwork and other key brand related materials. As a result, out-of-date materials were being used across the business and differing or incomplete Guidelines existed.
syn-rg was approached by Amcor to scope the online brand asset management solution so all global partners could access the guidelines information and communications material.
Amcor Brand Central provides a central repository for Amcor’s Brand Standards, Policy, templates, brandmark artwork, approved corporate images and other related files.
The solution includes a registration process prior to accessing the materials and is designed to:
syn-rg worked closely with the Amcor brand team, who redesigned the Brand Toolbox interface to adhere to Amcor best practice and functionality requirements. syn-rg then applied the designs to the user interface graphics, colours and text.
The result is one of our most striking and customised solutions to date.

The Australia Post Brand Hub redefines how brand custodians, design professionals and marketing departments access and professionally distribute their corporate brand assets.
Since syn-rg implemented Australia Post’s online brand guidelines in 2005, the site has grown from a simple 30 page online style guide to a 400 page, content rich, brand management and education resource. It is an all-encompassing brand management solution, housing brand, stationery, publication, imagery, online, retail, product and advertising style guidelines content.
In late 2008, syn-rg were commissioned to redevelop the new Brand Hub and include a Content Management System (CMS) that would cope with the growing website. We conducted a series of “Usability Workshops”, which highlighted inefficiencies with wayfinding and a need for improved document retrieval. With further client requests for improved searchability and scalability, syn-rg’s online brand management solution was born.
The new ‘Brand Hub’ uses a familiar and intuitive navigation system, allowing members to access pages quickly and track their location easily. Advanced search functionality allows instant retrieval of deeply embedded information, including pages, documents and images within the CMS.
The system allows you to manage your photo and document libraries, enabling you to browse 1000's of images via the powerful 'imagery keyword search engine'. Click image thumbnails for detailed usage information, download and order images for ongoing marketing campaigns.
‘Page Tools’ allow you to customise your browsing experience with ‘Quick Links’, keeping a unique record of a user’s favourite and most visited pages. The 'What's New section highlights the most recent and updated content. A user can even print the current page or the entire style guidelines in one click.
All members are notified by email every time a new logo or guideline section is added, providing up-to-date ‘policing’ of the brand, via the ‘Brand Update’ email newsletter. And, with instant access to the profiles of all members using the site, tracking the supplier database is easy.
With full integration and behavioural tracking using Google Analytics, you can view detailed web statistics and measure at a glance which sections of the website are being visited regularly, and those that are not, helping the client manage content more economically.
Australia Post's online brand management solution is a forerunner in the brand marketplace and built off the back of syn-rg’s Brand Toolbox®. The solution manages all elements of its brand, consistently and cost-effectively and is available 24/7, from any computer, on any network, so there can no longer be any excuse for using an incorrect file version.

We were then asked to design and produce the Yellow Pages® ‘Power brand’ version of the site, developing the necessary brand guidelines information, specification templates and downloadable artwork files.
The Yellow Pages® online brand style guidelines retained the corporate look ‘n’ feel and functionality of the Sensis™ site, but with a specific Yellow Pages® branding style.
